Sonehri Mosque is located inside Kashmiri Gate of Lahore. It was built in 1743-45 AD, by the Mughal Emperor, Naseer-ud Din Muhammad Shah.  The mosque is a small but remarkable gorgeous building which combines perfect symmetry of form and proportion.   It was erected on an elevated plinth with shops occupying the ground floor. The stair case in front of the mosque opens into a small courtyard. An ablution/water tank is in the centre of this courtyard.The mosque has prayer chamber, gateways and minarets. The mosque was seized by Sikh militant factions and converted into a Gurdwara.The tourists from homeland and abroad cannot ignore this majestic and glittering monument of late Mughal era.
